Xfinity modem green light

I have searched web for this fault and find many posts on it, but not actual resoltiuon. Also, midnight last night the modem reported T3 fault. When I told the COMCAST help they immediately went to "it is your cable modem" which is BS. When asked what a T3 fault was she couldn't tell me.
