Honestly having a bowfa to start makes a huge difference. The boss is pretty simple when you don't have to gear switch between phases. When you're learning the Runelite Zulrah Helper plugin is also really helpful. After a while you'll be good enough that you won't need itZulrah is a fun and interesting boss once you learn the mechanics. You need to figure out whether you just wanna play as efficiently as possible or actually enjoy the game. I do quite a lot of skilling/leveling that is horribly inefficient because I want to actually have fun. I've been down the road of just grinding one boss for gp to fund ... You'll be done Zulrah well before the point you're grinding raids KC for ancestral. For Range you're probably fine with dhides, but kills will be straight shit until you get your blowpipe. Unless you go for Bowfa early (which is a huge grind), you're probably using a RCB or a Magic Shortbow and hating them. Thralls, I do Bowfa only Zulrah with Serpentine Helm and thralls summon for maximum laziness while on mobile. Thralls don't really speed up my kills in a way that I can feel, but they do really make my kills more consistent since I'm not using a mage switch. The little bit of extra damage smooths out the rng of doing ranged only. Vorkath, way easier than Zulrah, doesn’t matter if u have good or bad gear, blowpipe bgs and blessed range outfit is good enough, make sure to use antivenom++ and extended antifire. If u don’t have enough money for a blowpipe just go with a rune crossbow, make sure you go with the appropriate bolts and essentials like salve amulet(ei)

Also everything you were doing before, becomes so much easier with it since it shreds. For instance, with trident and rcb or a kbow I would get to zulrah's jad phase 9/10 times. Now with bowfa and trident I only get to jad phase 1/10 times and that's due to bad rng.Generally speaking, The higher the scaling/cm, the way better the tbow does and the worse the blowpipe does while Fbow performs decently when scaling/cms (but doesn't scale monstrously like tbow does). Also tossing it in a calc range pt + 85 range bowfa with anguish is 4.425 while swamp with a 5 way ahrims, fury, imbued cape, torm bracelet is 4.675. Zulrah may look hard, but once you know how it works, it's actually one of the easiest, safest bosses in the game. It has far lower requirements than Vorkath, and you'll only need 80 Magic and Range, and a decent Defence level in order to kill him. Of course, you'll need Protection Prayers as well. Warped Sceptre for Zulrah or just Bowfa. I am just starting out my Zulrah grind, I have 20 KC so far and just got the Warped Sceptre drop. I have been doing range only so far with a Bowfa and full crystal armor. I have been using regular antipoisons (only 78 Herblore) and thralls for my kills.Zulrah is not quite the boss she used to be. People literally called her the money snake for a good reason, but ever since the blowpipe nerf scales have drop...I just did a zulrah grind this weekend with serp/bowfa. Around 890 kills and average time to kill was around 1:20 with a high of 2 min and low of 1 min. Definitely worth losing a little dps to be able to use thralls/venge as opposed to cure me/AV. It's easily worth it.Potentially contrary opinion -- I attempted the tbow rebuild a while back and ended up selling the tbow after a month (and lost a bunch of money on it). The Bowfa shreds muspah, kills are so consistent!! I had a 10 kill trip after getting it which was insane as my max before was 4, even with supply drops. I’ve run one toa which felt good. More consistent without relying on ruby bolt procs. Especially P3 enraged wardens.
